Recently we had a customer send us a picture of how they reused their UnderMyPants bag. They reused our cotton bag to hold their makeup. Great! How good is that, a zero waste outcome which has us over the moon! Our strategy is coming off.
Recently we published a blog about the importance of online retailers doing their part in reducing waste. In the blog we explained the reason behind our packaging.
We aimed for a zero-waste outcome and do so by sending all our products with no packaging, just as is. We don’t want the extra waste –hangers, clips, wrapping to not get recycled, nor do we wish to burden our customers with extra packaging. As well as a minimalist attitude to packaging we also put our product in a cotton bag to give our customers something they can reuse rather then throw out – trash is for tossers…
Given our aim that customers reuse our bag rather then throw out we thought why don’t we suggest the top 5 ways we believe the UnderMyPants bag can be reused? So here goes!
5. Travel Bag
Whether you travel for work or for leisure there’s always a bag needed for your socks and underwear. You need to keep these items separate, for what reason I don’t know? But we do and you do need to store them securely so you don’t lose them. Instead of using an everyday plastic bag or something that could get lost, why not shove your goods in your UnderMyPants bag?
The size is perfect for rolled up socks and folded up underwear. We predict you can get up to 10 underwear and socks in at one time. And, hopefully our funny name and bag can lead to a conversation starter between you and a beer drinking traveler.
4. Jewellry Bag
There seems to be a theme here? A small bag is good for holding small items that can easily get lost. Jewelry fits that bill and if you have a messy collection that is all over the place, then place your jewelry in your UnderMyPants bag. The bag is particularly good for necklaces and bangles, but it can hold any type of jewelry.
3. Business cards
This is my current use for my UnderMyPants bag. I use it to store all the business cards that I collect. You collect so many business cards these days. To be honest, I’m not sure of the value of a business card given they seem to just pile up on your desk but putting them all in your UnderMyPants bag secures them in one spot.
2. Shaver Bag
Boy, man, girl or women we all shave at certain times in our lives. Whether it be an electric shaver or hand shaver there seems to be a lot of pieces that get lost. So why not store the gel and your kit in one bag. The bag keeps everything together and can easily be picked up for when you travel, it also avoids any creams or gels leaking into the bag creating a mess. If it’s not your shaver, then put any other goodies from your bathroom in the bag and keep everything in one spot.
1. Make up bag
It’s the most used way of the UnderMyPants bag so it makes our number one spot! Make up needs to be contained in one area and needs to be easily accessible. You never know where you’re going and can’t afford to miss out on an item. So instead of running around putting things in a plastic bag and losing your favourite lipstick along the way, keep them in one secure place at all times!
No matter how you reuse your UndeMyPants bag, please just make sure you reuse it. Keeping your bag and reusing it will ensure that our landfill isn’t filled with another bag and that some poor animal isn’t buried in a bag.
